About The Author + The Blog

Okay, this is the part where I introduce myself and welcome you, the reader, to my blog. So, here we go. *clears throat*

Welcome to my blog! My name is Lola, and I'm your average university student living in the most marvellous country in the world: Spain. I've been a fan of true crime since I was 12 years old, and after years of endlessly reading books about murderers and listening to serial killer podcasts like it’s my last day on Earth, I decided to start a blog to talk about my favorite topic since, like, forever. (By the way, no one warned me that setting up a blog would be this hard. I’ve been working on the layout for a week—four hours every day—and I’m still nowhere near done.)

Anyways! My main focus will be murders, but I’ll occasionally post about other crimes if they’re interesting enough. I’ll cover everything from closed cases that happened over 100 years ago that no one remembers to the most recent ones happening right now—like, RIGHT NOW. I’ll also share some of the resources I use to write about the cases, as well as links to other websites or channels where you can find more info. I sincerely hope they’re helpful.

I’ve also added a temporary page to the blog dedicated entirely to the Menendez brothers, especially after recent developments in their case. I’ve been following their story for years, and I want to raise awareness about sexual, physical, and psychological abuse by writing about them. I’ll try to be as unbiased as possible in my posts, but keep in mind that I really want them to be freed—so yeah, you might notice my true feelings slipping through more often than not.

Finally, you. Yes, you 🫵 You can ask me to write about a specific case if I haven’t covered it already— I take requests on the Petitions page. :)

Disclaimer Box

Disclaimer: I want to make it crystal clear that the tone of this blog is informal, but that doesn’t mean I don’t take the crimes I write about seriously. I absolutely do not condone the actions of any perpetrators discussed here. When I delve into their pasts, my goal is to paint a bigger picture—not to excuse or justify their actions, but to explain them.

I think that’s all for now. See you around!
